I wanted to upload this video that I created when the ultra-high energy event was announced by my Collaboration. To give you a bit of a preview of what the KM3NeT experiment can do.
For a little bit of context:
The 12th of February 2025, KM3NeT experiment announced the detection of the most energetic cosmic neutrino ever observed. The probability of observing such an energetic event is generally low, but it is even lower considering that the detector is not even half the size of what it will be when it is fully built. A neutrino with this characteristics expands the research horizon to a whole new energy region for yet unobserved physics.
